Living Waters Investigation and Protection (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a veteran-owned private investigation firm committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and legal compliance. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information obtained through our website and during the course of our investigative services in accordance with California law and industry standards. Our investigative services are provided by or under the direction of licensed professionals, including under California Private Investigator License #189675.

- Financial Information: Payment details for services rendered (processed via secure third-party providers). We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers except as necessary to process transactions, and we rely on secure payment processors where applicable.
3. Purpose of Data Collection
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To provide private investigation services and related solutions, including claims investigations (insurance/workers’ compensation), background and business investigations, asset identification and locate services, sub rosa surveillance and counter surveillance, domestic and family law investigations, criminal and civil case support, immigration support, difficult service of process, and missing persons recovery.
- Background Checks and Due Diligence: To perform background investigations, corporate/business due diligence, and verification activities as requested and permitted by law.
- Litigation and Legal Support: To support attorneys and legal matters, prepare documentation, preserve evidence, and provide reports and materials that may be used in administrative, civil, or criminal proceedings.
- Communication: To respond to inquiries, provide quotes and engagement documents, onboard clients, and provide case updates.
- Payment and Accounting: To process payments and maintain business records.
- Legal Compliance and Safety: To comply with applicable laws, licensure obligations, court orders, and lawful requests, and to protect the safety, rights, and property of our clients, the public, and our Company.
- Website Optimization: To improve user experience, maintain website functionality, and monitor website performance and traffic.
4. Confidentiality and Professional Standards
As a licensed California Private Investigation firm (CA PI #189675), we adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and professional standards, including applicable provisions of the California Business and Professions Code and related regulations governing private investigators.
- Confidentiality and Client Privilege: We treat client communications, case details, and investigative materials as confidential. Where applicable, information may be protected by attorney-client privilege and/or the Attorney Work Product Doctrine when our services are engaged by or through legal counsel or in anticipation of litigation.
- Need-to-Know Access: Access to sensitive case files is limited to authorized personnel and contractors who require access to perform services and who are subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Non-Disclosure / No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information for marketing purposes. We disclose information only as directed by the client within the scope of an engagement, as necessary to provide services, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
This section provides a notice of rights for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA/CPRA”), to the extent the CCPA/CPRA applies to our business and the data at issue. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the matter and applicable legal requirements.
